Since September 2013 the Department for Education has provided funding to every primary school to ensure there is a clear legacy for young people from the 2012 London Olympics.

The intention:

• Provide pupils with access to high quality sports coaching
• Enable pupils to experience a wider range of sports
• Widen pupil participation in sport
• Widen participation in competitive sports
• Create a sustainable legacy for sport within the primary school

School Games Mark

We are proud to be part of the School Games Mark and to have been awarded Gold for our sporting achievements and participation.

The School Games Mark is a government-led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
